Charlie's Spring Wardrobe
Boys over the age of 4/5 can be an absolute minefield to dress! (A real gap in the market if anyone wants to start a clothing line!!) So I've lined up some of my favourite picks for Charlie, let me know what your favourites are? I clearly keep is simple, with navy and red being prominent colours, oh and you're not going to find any garish prints in here either!!
Charlie has certainly inherited his mother's love for shoes, although he seems to be a tad more practical when it comes to comfort! These tick all the boxes and I love that they work double time, he can slip these on with shorts and a polo and head to the beach, or chinos and a shirt for a smarter look.
I'm hopeful our days for shorts are just around the corner, as I have restocked Charlie's drawers in these again, for two years running we've been buying these from Zara. This year we've chosen navy, sand and this fresh tomato red!
Anyone who has dared a British holiday knows they had better be prepared for wind, rain and sun... and thats just on day one! So this year I'm coveting some smart pack away waterproofs! These ones are a simple style done well, and you can be sure they're well made as they're from Petit Bateau.
This cap seems to make Charlie seem way older than he is all of a sudden, so I may or may not be recommending it!! But he certainly loves it!
Something magical happened a couple years ago, a fantastic company called Minnow Swim opened, selling beautiful well made swimwear, I love that I can coordinate (not match!!) all three of mine and they look classic and comfortable. I've chosen these boardies for Charlie as well as this navy rashguard.
You know how I said older boys were hard to buy for? Yep, TWC is a perfect example, after 5/6 their boys wear range ends. Luckily they still do jammies up to age 12 so I have a few more years left! These sailboat ones are so lovely and I know will keep him cosy all spring and summer.
If you don't know about Saltwater Sandals... where HAVE you been? They are super comfy and waterproof... Charlie is just squeezing into the biggest boys size so I'll be on the hunt for something similar next year, but for now, these are just what we need for summer days!
For smarter days nothing beats a fresh shirt, Charlie loves these GANT shirts from Bibaloo, as they're just like Daddy!
As well as all of the above, I stock up on t-shirts from Zara, their eco cotton ones are fab, and at under £4 you don't want to cry when ketchup is spilled all the way down them!
Hope you like our spring/summer picks! Let me know if you have any hidden gems, I'd love to know!
